A Note From Your Jeweller

Hi , I'm Megan

Ebb + Flow began during a season where I felt both lost and newly found. Becoming a single mom changed me in ways I didn’t expect. Jewelry became the one thing that was just mine, while also being a means to provide for me and my son. It was something I could build slowly, imperfectly, and with my whole heart.

I taught myself metalsmithing through trial, error, problem solving and many late nights of hands-on practice. There were hard lessons. There were moments I wanted to quit. But there was also something steady pulling me forward.

Over the past decade, this business has grown alongside me. What hasn’t changed is the why.

I create keepsake jewelry because I know what it feels like to want to hold onto something — a version of yourself, a season of motherhood, the memory of someone you love.

My dream for Ebb + Flow is to continue to reach new people who want to wear a memory, a feeling or a time in life that felt intimate and special to them. I don't take it lightly that people are trusting me in creating something so personal and sacred.

Keepsake Jewelry

Keepsake jewelry is custom, handcrafted jewelry designed to preserve meaningful memories in a wearable form. Often created using personal materials such as cremation ashes, breastmilk, fingerprints, or other sentimental elements, keepsake jewelry transforms life’s most significant moments into lasting heirloom pieces.

Impression jewellery captures the unique details of a fingerprint, handprint, footprint, paw, or other meaningful imprint and preserves it in a wearable piece. Each design is entirely one-of-a-kind.

Once you place your order you’ll receive an email with information for packaging and shipping your piece to our studio in Victoria. Depending on the type of keepsake you’ve purchased, All pieces must be shipped in a padded bubble mailer, available at all Canada Post locations.

Each keepsake piece is handmade and created using your unique materials, so slight variations are natural and expected. While your jewelry will reflect the same design style and craftsmanship shown on our website, no two pieces are ever identical.

We aim to capture as much detail as possible, though results can vary depending on the quality of the impression taken at home.

Yes. Gentle techniques can be used to safely capture prints from little ones, though extra care may be needed for best results. We recommend taking an impression of their fingerprint is when they are sleeping peacefully.

For breastmilk, we only require 15ml to make your piece, with lots leftover for future orders. Please ensure its sent double bagged to avoid spillage. For cremation ash, ¼ tsp is all that is needed. All remaining ash will be returned alongside your order.

Once preserved, we keep all remaining milk store safely on file to allow for future orders.

You can ship us fresh or previously frozen! All milk will have the same result once preserved.

Order information

Unfortunately no. Each piece takes weeks to create, so please ensure you are truly committed to owning your keepsake. However, if your piece is defective do to a manufacturing error at Ebb + Flow, we are happy to take the piece back and have our team examine your piece.

These situations will be navigated on a case by case situation.

Repairs
If your ring has arrived damaged, please contact us immediately and we will do everything in our power to fix your piece.

However, if damage is a result of improper care of your piece according to care instructions from Ebb+ Flow, we cannot offer repairs without a charge. This will be determined on a case by case basis.

Resizing
It is imperative that you know you know your ring size before ordering. We cannot resize. If you do not know your ring size, please stop by your local jewelry store to be professionally sized before placing your order

Ebb + Flow jewelry is crafted from high-quality recycled metals, responsibly sourced stones, and carefully hand-picked sea glass. By transforming sterling silver and 14k gold into handmade fine jewelry, each piece is designed to last a lifetime when cared for properly.

As these are handmade items, love and care go into each piece. Please allow 3-4 weeks production time, due to a high volume of orders. For Keepsake pieces, please allow 6-8 weeks production time once we receive your materials in the studio.

Thankfully, our jewelry is water resistant, however we recommend removing your keepsake jewelry before prolonged exposure to water. Chemicals can affect the appearance of the stone and tarnish fine metals.
